7-day Cederberg Traverse

A traverse of the Cederberg mountain range

The Cederberg mountains are located near Clanwilliam a small town some 300km north of Cape Town. Characterised by raw and dramatic beauty, this wilderness area features impressive wind-carved rock formations, such as the Maltese cross and Wolfberg Arch, and is home to many San rock paintings.

Points of interest

1. Wolfberg Arch

2. Crystal Pools

3. Sneeuberg, 2027m (highest peak in the Cederberg)

4. Maltese Cross

The landscape is varied, rough and rugged and offers a true wilderness experience. Although we spend most of the route on trails, the terrain is very technical (rocky and sometimes overgrown section), challenging  and cannot be underestimated.
